EL DIA QUE ME QUIERAS: An investigation of death and the power of photography through a meditation on the last picture taken of Ernesto Che Guevara as he lay dead on a table, surrounded by his captors in Bolivia.The film is based on an interview with Freddy Alborta, his dramatic photos and his memories of that day in October of 1967.

BiO:
Leandro Katz was one of the jurors of the 2006 Syracuse International Film & Video Festival. A poet and visual artist born in Argentina, he has lived and worked in New York since 1965. His films and photographic installations have been shown in museums throughout Europe, Latin America and the United States, including the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. He has made 15 non-narrative and narrative films and published 18 books. He has received fellowships from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts, among others. Katz has been a professor of film production and theory in the College of Arts and Communication at William Paterson University since 1987.
