Point of Contact was recognized as an organization that “demonstrates dynamic and far reaching cultural vision,” according to the official nomination letter from Leo Crandall, Executive Director of the Cultural Resources Council of Syracuse. “We are honored to recognize Point of Contact's significant contributions to not just the arts community but to the general public with its publications and film festival.”

The CRC is Syracuse's only not-for-profit organization dedicated to serving and uniting all segments of the cultural community.

The Horizon Awards Ceremony is an annual event that celebrates those individuals, organizations, and businesses that demonstrate dynamic and far-reaching cultural vision. The Horizon Awards Ceremony is a cocktail and tapas reception with an awards ceremony, live music by the CNY Latin Jazz Trio, and a silent auction featuring original artwork, tickets to cultural events, and more. Each year the Cultural Resources Council commissions a local artist to create the award. Marcia Ferber will be designing and creating this year's award. Ferber is an artist who works with fused enamels, art glass and gemstone materials.
